380 Shotshell Ammo - Possible Reloaders?

From 22 to 44 Mag, you can buy the CCI Shotshell ammo in about every handgun caliber besides 380. I'd love to have some for my Keltec 380 for snake charming, but I've never seen any commercially made.

Just wondering if any of the reloaders on here had done shotshell reloading in this caliber?

FYI, I shot an email to CCI this morning asking about the possibility of getting it added to their line and got this in return:

Devin: we have looked at it and considered it as too small an amount of shot. We may revisit it as a New Product in the future. If so, I would guess it would be in a necked-down casing.

I assume the necked down casing is like the 40 S&W:

Any experience with these in an auto?
I have a .40 and wondered if they would cycle?

Too small, eh? ......380 is too small but .22 shotshells are not? They just figure the market is too small and not profitable. Why don't they just say that instead of lie?

Where do you find the shot casing?

You beat me to it Billy!

Or if your going to carry a pistol be good enough to hit it with conventional ammo.

You guys and your big pistols are just trying to compensate for your other inadequate shortcomings!

Wes, I sent an email to Coy at CCI. He's been helpful answering some other questions, so I'll see if he can't get a source for them.

I want some for my .41 Mag...

                          ...no luck.

They will not cycle in some auto guns. Both my .45's will shoot them but have never seen a need for just the one up the pipe as it has a really good spread and kills them dead every time.

I would much rather have the bad guy 230gr. stoppers for my 2nd shot....although a face full of .45 rat shot might be smarts.

I carry them in one of my spare mags and shoot them in my sig 229 40 and S&W sigma 40. I also have some for a 44 mag though I haven't shot them yet in it.

I have not had any issues with miss feeds or jams. These are however alluminum caseings and they do get the gun very dirty as compared to shooting ball heads and hollow points etc... DO NOT SHOOT THEM IN hand guns that are compensated (flutted, ported etc...) The shot is so small it will get redirected and come out the barrel ports, I think they use #9 shot.

Also the shot pattern is such that out side of 14' it's useless 2'-10' is what I have found to be the best distance for patterns and safety. Again this is based out of my two 40's, you may get different results but don't wait untill you need it to find out. Take a couple practice shots to get an idea for yourself and pattern you pistol just like you pattern your shotguns.
