Roll/Shaved softball bats?

Hurt someone swinging an illegal bat could get you in some real trouble.. Is your rec softball league really worth it...



I played high level travel ball all over the country for years and I can honestly say that I never had one of my bats rolled or shaved....



If you cant hit it right out of the wrapper, you may need to take your panties off!

Shaving a bat is where people have a problem because of how fast the ball comes off of a hot bat, if you get hit by a ball well then guess what you just get hit it doesn't matter whether it was from a legal or altered bat

If you can't handle the heat and scared of catching a ball from a shaved bat then take your own advice and keep your panties on

im gonna agree to this moy i played in rec league as well as travel ball to many people get hurt with an altered bat and its obvious when the bat is. Its better to make sure you cover your butt first.



Because even if some one else uses your bat and hurts some one you still go down.. Here they do regular bat checks during the games, if your bat fails the compression test they xray it and if it loos odd they cut it. If the bat is legit they replace it if not they turn you in to usssa and they the the local authority's involved for having an illegal bat.

Which I understand if they check bats then yea we would be using legal bats, but if they're not checking and letting you use what you want the of course everyone is gonna use their shaved bats

Only vagines use altered bats.
Play by the rules who cares if they check your bats or not.
I play 3rd and pitch and am not scared of any ball hit at me but if you can't get it done with a stock bat quit swinging for the fence. It's softball.

man I really didn't think that you would go there.

It's not that anyone is scared it's the simple fact that it's wrong and could seriously injure someone. If everyone is doing it then it must be right? I would honestly have a hard time ever getting by your rationale. Most bats today don't need to be rolled.

This honestly sounds like some wanna be all stars that are getting their butts run ruled each week. A bat isn't going to win you the league championship shirts. Maybe it's time to switch over to church league.

Not everyone playing out there is some superior athlete like yourself. A lot of those guys are just out to have fun and do not have the reaction time to block a ball hit at 100+ mph.

Yea most of the other leagues around Houston do but as far as I remember this league in pasadena never has checked bats all they do is say " let me see the game bats" then they just pick them up and give them back and that's all, no compression test or anything

Like I said I don't have a problem using a legal bat or even hitting the fence with a legal bat, but everyone else has a advantage by using one, so we can sit there and play a legit game but then get burned by the other team

Getting s bat shaved is thinning out the ID of the bat and making more like a trampoline effect when you hit the ball and also the ball comes off that bat smoking fast

Yes getting a bat rolled is just speeding up the process of breaking in the bat which is no problem and wouldn't understand why someone would be against that because it's not altering the bat
