Roll/Shaved softball bats?

Anybody have the equipment to roll a bat or shave it? We started our season about 2 weeks ago but only played one game so far since we got rain outs

I know some people are against shaved bats so you can keep your negative comments if any, fact of the matter is that there's at least 1 shaved bat in every team so why get left behind

It's a all mens League

Yea I was looking at some online, just checking to see if anyone locally here had a lathe to shave 'em

I don't know if I've even seen a bat in the last 5 yrs in any form of competition that wasn't "rolled". And we have shaved an old miken and it actually narrowed the sweet spot way to much.

Jmo bat technology has come so far there's really no need in them. A good bat like any of the z-1000 and much newer will easily hit a ball farther than the field will hold.

I played high level travel ball all over the country for years and I can honestly say that I never had one of my bats rolled or shaved....

If you cant hit it right out of the wrapper, you may need to take your panties off!

No kidding. Don't be crying when you are facing criminal charges for hurting somebody with an altered bat.

With compression on new bats today there is no reason to alter a bat.

true statement. I agree with heath, just google it. By the way the best bat I have ever swung was a TPX right out of the wrapper.

Agreed. I was pitching last year for our softball team and got drilled right on the left side of my chest right on top of my heart. The bat was a legal bat but if not things could of been a lot worse.

im gonna agree to this moy i played in rec league as well as travel ball to many people get hurt with an altered bat and its obvious when the bat is. Its better to make sure you cover your butt first.

Because even if some one else uses your bat and hurts some one you still go down.. Here they do regular bat checks during the games, if your bat fails the compression test they xray it and if it loos odd they cut it. If the bat is legit they replace it if not they turn you in to usssa and they the the local authority's involved for having an illegal bat.
