Glad you got it, how hard was the door to pry like that?
I did that once at an electronics store
After waiting for the locksmith I went straight to th hardware store and bought a magnetic box and had a spare key cut. It doesn't start the car (no chip) but helps solve that problem.

I've got a kit that'll unlock almost any vehicle. It works by prying the door open like that and has several different tools to unlock the doors. Every car I've ever used it on was VERY easy to pry open like that!

Problem is the kit would have been in the truck with the keys.

Lol yea I uses to carry it in my tool box locked with a combo lock. Now that I don't have a tool box, it stays in my garage and only gets used to help family and friends.
I always have a key cut that is as thin in thickness that I can find, slip it in one of the folds in my wallet. Always have a way in and don't even know it's there. I se to keep one in the magnetic holder but it eventually vibrated loose.
I know this suggestion is not exactly what you might call timely. But this is the very reason that the last 3 or 4 new vehicles I've bought had to have "keyless entry". Not the "fob" but a key pad. NEVER would buy another one without it. As important as engine and tires to me.
Sorry you had trouble. Hope you got it open.

PS: nice bonus not to have to keep up with your keys, just drop'em in the door pocket and lock'er up.
You should always carry a spare key in your bill fold.
When I got my tundra back in '09, it came with a little plastic "credit card" looking thing, that had a plastic key on it that would open the door. I eventually got an actual key made for the wallet, but that little plastic thing helped me out a couple more times than I'd like to admit.
