Looking for some suggestions for fun weekend trips within a couple hours of dfw. Somewhere with some fun fly fishing would be a plus too! Also trying to keep the cost low. Mainly just a fun relaxing get away.

We enjoy floating the Brazos during the summer in kayaks or canoes near Mineral Wells ...Rochelles Canoe Rental is a great service to use..Its fairly cheap little adventure with some decent fishing and Great views and its fun for all ages...We usually pack a lunch and make a day out of it ,but a lot of people make a overnight camping trip or even a 2 day adventure.Comment

We love beavers bend! We go up there every chance we get! But we were trying to think of something we hadn't done before. (I had already tried that suggestion ) lol think we're just gonna go down to luckenbach and make a few stops along the way and conveniently we will pass by the lease so I can look for sheds and swap cards. My mom and fiancé just don't know that yet! HahaComment
