    Feeder times during spring/summer?

I'll be doing mostly hog hunting this spring/summer. Most likely I'll just be doing some evening and night hunts.
I set the timers for 2 seconds at 5:30, 7:30 and 9:30. Does that sound about right? Thanks

I spin mine for more than in the fall until they shed....hoping they will drop them around the feeder. Then I cut back to about 3 seconds.

I run 5 feeders on 350 acres. They are spread evenly through out the pasture. I stagger them where one feeds early a.m. about 7:00 with no evening time, then I will have the next one going off in the p.m. around 5:30 and so on. Helps cut down on the feed bill. All feeders run 6 seconds. Also run 1 protein feeder and two cotton seed troughs in two separate feed pens. It can get expensive for one guy.

I would skip the 5:30 pm and set a 7:00 am instead for 3 seconds.
I tend to sprinkle corn on the roads & senderos when I am there.

We kill more in the summer than any other time.

7 pm. The amount of time varies per feeder as they throw differently. About 8 seconds is average. I don't like feeding birds all day and I don't like scaring pigs with multiple feed times.

Yeah, I was thinking that maybe I should have set it for 1 throw for like 6 seconds at around 7:30 to maybe bring them in a little earlier.

I pig hunt in the off-season and don't use a morning feed, just evening as I hunt under lights. Come late July, start up the morning feeds again. August-trap coons, September -- let 'em settle down, October let 'em catch some arrows.
