Are you only able to control the Honeywell by using your own Wifi in your home or can you adjust it remotely while away?

Whole home automation really intrigues me, I see a real opportunity there from a business sense. You can buy smart devices for almost any component in your home, from door locks, lighting, they even have a crock pot that is wifi enabled for remote setting....
