    2010-2014 F-150 leveling kit?

New lease is rough and I occasionally hit the front lower bumper lip, thing, on rocks and stuff. I'd like to get rid of the rake they come with and get it setting level. I'm really curious how they look leveled with the factory sized tires on them? I have good Michelin tires that probably have 20k miles left in them, don't want to go swap them out just for looks I'd like to wait but I want to know how goofy it will look before I do it. Also what kits have yall done. the spacers, coilover kit, or Bilstiens?

Ps. It's a 2wd, not going to lift it and do anything big, just want level in the front.

I would look into the bilstein 5100 adjustable front shocks. I don't have them but saw them on a buddies F150. He said you can adjust the shocks from 0-2.5". I know that he took off his lift kit and put these on.

    Just a thought.

They're really nice ride wise. I've rode in an F150 with them installed. Wish the would've made them for my 14' Silverado when I did my level kit.

Just had 2" zone spacers installed at Maxxed Performance with stock tires.

Bowbender how is the ride with your setup? Looks good with the stock tires too. I was expecting to get 33's, but may stay with stock after seeing yours.

I've has three leveled and one with the Bilstiens. Honestly the ride is better with a 2" level than it is with Bilsteins set at 2", and it's cheaper.
You can run factory tires with a level but you'll probably get tired of the look pretty quick and want to step up to 33's or even 35's. 35's look best but are a mileage killer!

I'm with you, doesn't look bad at all, I dont need any huge heavy tires. It looks better then I had pictured in my head with stock sized tires.

I couldn't get away with 35's not even on the leveling kit, way too much articulation out there, They would be rubbing everywhere. Those wheel wells aren't big enough for tires that big without like a 3" or 4" lift.

I'd like to do some 285 70 r18's on the wheels I have now down the road when these tires are worn out. But I can deal with the look for the next 8-10 months when the tires I have now are worn down.

Very helpful thread, as I'm in the same boat as the OP. I like the look of a leveled truck but would rather not sacrifice ride quality or screw up my warranty. I was under the impression that leveling with adjustable shocks affects ride quality: true or false? If I should need front end work (under warranty) in the future, would the guys at Ford rather see coil spacers or Bilsteins? Or Neither?

And OP, I took my air dam off. From what I understand, it only functions to increase fuel mileage a hair. I didn't notice a difference when I removed mine.

Still rides like stock. It was $324 installed.

I'm going to take it off, but I'm also hitting the front of my side step on stuff. The road out there is pretty bad, the last 3.5 miles takes just a hare over 30 minutes to make.

I ran 35's on two different F150's with a 1.5" level. An 06' and a 13'. I had to trim about 1/2" off the bumper valance but after that I had no rubbing. 315/70/17 BFG TA KO's

Tuned in as well, I think I want 2" in the front and an 1" higher in the back with 33" tires

I have an '09 F150 FX4. Started with 2" level in the front but ended up switching over to Bilsteins (5100). Got them front and rear and like the ride much better than I was getting from stock ranchos w/ level kit. I have the front set at 2" or 1.75", can't remember what the setting choices were. I guess it's a personal opinion on the ride as I have heard both sides but I much prefer the ride with the new struts/shocks. A little more pricey than the simple level kit but worth the $ in my opinion for ride quality. I did a lot of research and read a lot of articles on f150 forums. Look around and read up before you make a choice! Let us know what you do
