Anybody have any working border collies on sheep or cattle? I just got a 9 month old female that is out of working stock that seems to have the want to. But I'm a cur dog guy, Never had a border collie. I have some sheep and cattle I'd like to use her on. I started her on sheep, and she will circle wide and gather them and tries to bring them to me and shes getting there on the down command. Any good videos or books, the ones I've seen are more pet driven, I'm looking for more work drive. And also have a few questions.

I always had catch or bay dogs until about 7 years ago. When I lost my last bulldog, which was the best one I ever had, I got into herding dogs. I currently have two 1/2 border collie 1/2 hangin tree dogs and a 1/2 border collie 1/2 kelpie. I wouldn't ever have another bulldog. These dogs I have now have all the grit you could ever want and lots of smarts. They have a way of making you feel stupid sometimes.Comment
