CREE Q5...1600 Lumens will light the place up. So small and the LED zoom is freaky bright and the beam holds tight. Has 3 settings, high, low and strobe. The little rechargeable 18650 battery is cool...NO more buying batteries. Bowslayer turned me onto these little jewels awhile back on a thread like this. $7 a piece!
I bought a BUNCH of these back during the Christmas holidays and gave to all my employees and the guys at the deer lease. Kept going back and buying more and more. Everybody loves them!
Here's a link to them on eBay. Check out the reviews.

I've found that the cheaper ones are great for awhile but end up breaking easily or having other problems. I bit the bullet and bought a nitecore p12 a couple of years ago and haven't regretted it. I absolutely love it. 1000 lumens and it can fit in your pocket, unlike a maglite! Also has lots of different modes, like a strobe, homing beacon, and s.o.s. Be sure and buy the bundle with the charger and batteries rather than buy them separately.

Hard to beat a Fenis TK15 with the 18650 battery... You won't have to worry about the batteries running down... If you charge it, you can set it to one level below the brightest (which is PLENTY bright for most applications) and turn it on at dark and it will be still going strong when the sun comes up again... I carry a spare battery, but have never had to use it. I have an old TK11 the 15's predecessor that I keep in my pack just for night time tracking... It will last all season without a recharge or a battery change... Amazing lights!
Thanks to Cull for turning me on to them several years ago in a similar thread.

I'm a big fan of the Solarforce L2 series lights. They take standard P60 Drop-ins so they are super upgradeable and very flexible for what you need. I wouldn't consider anything except a Li-Ion light nowadays. The Solarforce light bodies take either 18650 or 18700 batteries (the XTAR 18700's are good batteries that are reasonably priced so don't ignore them).
sbflashlights.com has a good selection of options.

I just got one of the green cree lights and pressure switch for hog hunting and I am very pleased with it and excited to use it. I ordered the rechargeable batteries and charger and haven't burned through a battery yet- haven't used it much though
