Ok I'll be the guy that breaks the flow I guess! These are nothing new, a good family friend threw me a "tool shower" 14 years ago when I got married and I made a haul! Got a weedeater, bbq pit, cordless drill, etc...it was badA because I couldnt afford any of that stuff back then and it all got well used. So take my man card cause I guess I'm a fan if it could really help out the groom. Now if the guy already has a shed full of tools/toys then different story.

Who got busted, we loitered with the ladies of the night and it was well known by pretty much everyone that's what the plan was, just the way it was. I didn't have any issues to deal with. Some of the younger gals these days would have you strung up if you even mentioned it. Whatever I guess, if ya got to go all Richard Simmons and say you're having a man shower to get your soon to be wife to allow you out of the house, well, good luck with all that.

Thats right..back in the day they did this kind of thing to help the newlyweds out with things they couldnt afford.....most times it was a joint wedding shower, held at the same time same place. But hey, back in the day it was all about making a marriage last and not about parties and so called self awarded "man cards".

For all you guys that are throwing down on the shower, did you or someone you know have a gender reveal party, or at the least find out the sex of your child before birth? If so why? People never did this in the past and based off most people's response you should stick to old traditions. And for the record I didn't have a shower or find it the sex of my children before birth.

                                A man wedding shower??

I thought we called a man wedding shower a bachelor party? Those are way more fun than wedding showers anyways.
