Beams. Size and number?
I know you want a simple answer but there truly isn't one.
-Is it a structural steel building which may require piers to be drilled for footings?
-Is is a bricks and sticks building with interior support walls necessitating interior beams in specific locations?
-What is the soil like?
-Original post mentioned "pad"...a pad is the earth substructure beneath the slab and is often times imported in areas where soil is not suitable.
A 10,000sf slab can be a lot of things, from simple to very complex.

Gonna stick a pole barn on it.
What size rebar in slab and beams. What size beams and how many? This sound mighty low now days.

Concrete Contractors
That's turnkey, by the way. Grading, forming, steel, place & finish. And if you're wanting to get windstorm insurance, you'll need #5 rebar in the beams and #4 in the slab, and it'll have to be inspected by a windstorm engineer.Last edited by txheartshot; 03-17-2015, 09:35 PM.
