Whats the average price for installing a pad for building 10,000sqft, 6 inches thick. Price with concrete?

            Rebar size and qty?
            Beams. Size and number?
I know you want a simple answer but there truly isn't one.

This is so true. Way too many variables, especially on a 10,000sf slab with an unknown building size. Besides the steel and beam questions, there are others:

-Is it a structural steel building which may require piers to be drilled for footings?
-Is is a bricks and sticks building with interior support walls necessitating interior beams in specific locations?
              -What is the soil like?
-Original post mentioned "pad"...a pad is the earth substructure beneath the slab and is often times imported in areas where soil is not suitable.

A 10,000sf slab can be a lot of things, from simple to very complex.

Wow, on a 1000 square feet you are paying 1500 dollars more for 6 inch and it only took 4 more yards of concrete, that is almost 400.00 per yard, unless of course the rebar was upgraded as well, and 2 x 6 's are more expensive than 2 x 4 "s.

My guess is the 4" is wire mesh but I see concrete quotes on here all the time and I never can understand where the people installing get the prices from.

I'm fixing to get a 80' x 50' x 4" with rebar and exterior beams done next month and was quoted 3.50 sq. ft. Down in Brazoria county.
Gonna stick a pole barn on it.

What size rebar in slab and beams. What size beams and how many? This sound mighty low now days.

Figure about $7 per square foot, in Brazoria County, too. You might be able to get it a little cheaper but it'll be tough. Alamo Concrete is booked up with all the construction at Phillips in Sweeny, and they're getting about $105-$110 a yard.

That's turnkey, by the way. Grading, forming, steel, place & finish. And if you're wanting to get windstorm insurance, you'll need #5 rebar in the beams and #4 in the slab, and it'll have to be inspected by a windstorm engineer.

Does that include price of concrete in that $7/sqft?
