Help finding property corners near Fairfield

I have a buddy that has 90 acres near Fairfield. I think the property has 6 corners and he has found 2. Any one out there that can help or has experience finding property corners. He was going to get a surveyer but it is much too expensive. He is willing to pay fair fee to anyone who can find them. And actually he only needs to find a couple of them just to make sure his camper will be on his property,

Did you try using a metal detector ? Most times they are metal.

No..dosent own one and knows no one who has one. I don't even know how close he can get to corner without assistance from someone more knowledgeable in this kind of stuff.

He needs to get a plat of the property from the appraisal district to start.

Well if you have the plats or deed, and have stepped it off or measured it, and not found any rod, they are likely buried under dirt.

Metal detector is your best bet.

If he has Plats, he should be able to make measurements and cross measurements from point to point, rent a good metal detector and you can get pretty close following the measurements, close enough to get it done with a little patience.

I can overlay his survey on an aerial if he has a survey.

Do you have a GPS? With a simple gps unit you can project points to get you close

Hey Fluffer...may take you up on that. I could send pic of plat to you. He will be here tomorrow or Saturday and we will go out and look probably early part of the week. Message my email address or contact info. Thanks
