    Academy Feeder Timers

Anybody have a feeder timer from Academy thats done a "decent" job? I'm going to upgrade to "the timer" over the summer, but I need a temporary timer for my pig feeder that I'm going to fill up this weekend.

        Academy Feeder Timers

I have had very good luck with the Remington timers. Also the moultrie.

        They've been very dependable.

If you only need it for a few months get the cheap american hunter 6V digital. I think they are like $45? I get mine on amazon for $35.

The Moultrie above will sling it. Never had any issues.

I use field pro by audio link. They are the most dependable for the money $79.00. They run on a 6V spring top battery that will last a year feeding twice a day year round. I have 10 of them running right now (we feed year round), 1 of them is 12 years old and still running. Check em out!

I know its a big NO-NO on here but I have had WGI 12 Volt Timers Running for 5 years, easy setup and Only changed batteries once. (Has Solar Panel) Has 6 feed times, 3 speeds and 0-10 sec spin times. I have 4 of these and 2 of "the Timers". There is no difference to me.

I also use WGI Game Cams----Have 8 of them never a problem. The expensive ones I have bought no worky

This ^^^^. Ive had 2 of the moultrie feeder units for about 6-7 years. Ive been super impressed with them. One of them the timer got sticky on me last year. Turns out it was the plastic coating that gave way. I peeled it off with a knife and it was fixed. Still going strong.

Any clue what timer they have in there? I have the motor and housing etc just need a timer. Bought one from academy the little triangular one at Academy to come back a week later and find 200lbs of corn on the ground....

if you're just looking at the timer portion and don't need the enclosure and everything else, then you shouldnt' have any issues with the Academy ones, i have one and although it doesn't keep great time (maybe off 15 minutes throughout a month) then it will still sling corn when you program it to.
