Anybody have a feeder timer from Academy thats done a "decent" job? I'm going to upgrade to "the timer" over the summer, but I need a temporary timer for my pig feeder that I'm going to fill up this weekend.

I know its a big NO-NO on here but I have had WGI 12 Volt Timers Running for 5 years, easy setup and Only changed batteries once. (Has Solar Panel) Has 6 feed times, 3 speeds and 0-10 sec spin times. I have 4 of these and 2 of "the Timers". There is no difference to me.
I also use WGI Game Cams----Have 8 of them never a problem. The expensive ones I have bought no workyLast edited by blntrey3; 03-12-2015, 08:37 AM.

This ^^^^. Ive had 2 of the moultrie feeder units for about 6-7 years. Ive been super impressed with them. One of them the timer got sticky on me last year. Turns out it was the plastic coating that gave way. I peeled it off with a knife and it was fixed. Still going strong.

if you're just looking at the timer portion and don't need the enclosure and everything else, then you shouldnt' have any issues with the Academy ones, i have one and although it doesn't keep great time (maybe off 15 minutes throughout a month) then it will still sling corn when you program it to.
