Why not a winch-up instead of a stand and fill feeder

I would love to know why would you not buy a winch-up feeder instead of a stand and fill feeder or a leg feeder you dont fill a feeder but a few times a year and if you are like me I go a make sure my feeder is working anyway

For me it was all about cost. My feeders were $100. The cheapest winch up I could find was $250+

Personal Choice.............money, size, terrain, preference, quality, etc. Why not a auger type system?

If you are feeding 7 or more of them they are a bit of a pain. They only hold 350 to 400 lbs. Two guys can fill a stand and fill feeder in just a few minutes. There are advantages as well tall legs help with live stock and coons vs a standard tripod feeder.

I'm not sure where you're getting your facts from but I got a 700 pound winch up Feeder from Kerivoman and it works great.

Okay go back to the first sentence cranking up 4900 + lbs is a pain even more so with a double pulley but I guess it's like everything we all have a opinion.

Buy one of the cheap ATV winches from Harbor Freight and use your 4wheeler as the hookup for a battery. Easy to mount the winch.

No sir I'm sorry you're wrong again he's got a some kind of winch on there that it makes it feel like you're only cranking up 50 pounds. You may want to check his products out

All our corn feeders are winch up (used to have all leg feeders) all our protein are stand and fill. Hopefully by season all our feeders will be stand to fill. Winch ups in my opinion are more of a hassle than they are worth, usually take a ladder with me to fill them any way. Plus my dad and uncle get to the ranch to fill more than most of us and I'd rather them fill from the ground than be on a ladder or cranking winches.

Lol ok your right if I owned 7 of these ^^ vs the 5 winch I own it would be different. Currently my personal preference would be Krivoman or whomever version I would try there stand and fill especially if you are feeding bulk corn and protein it just seems easier and safer. Once again just my personal preference.

We have 8 winch-ups and a few leg feeders we operate all the winch-up feeders with a cordless drill but the leg feeders got to go it is so hard to fill and Hogs give them heck even staked down

Winch ups and Boss Bucks are e z.
I will never go back to a feeder you have to climb and fill.
                            Unsafe and gets old fast.

I'm going to sell my winch up feeder. I've sold my feeders on legs. And am buying a stand and fill.
