I agree Shane. We have not had any flood of any significane since the summer floods of 2007. Hate to say it but its going to take another near historic flood to get our lakes back to full pool. Hopefully the next time the LCRA Clowns will be a little more responsible with our water management.

I remember that. We had like 8-9" at the ranch. What did yall get in MF that day? I remember the worst summer of moquitos after all that rain.

Sure is nice to be getting the wet stuff but not all at once. I am praying for a rainy Spring for you folks that need it more than us.
Forgot I took a few shots.

        Driveway was completely under.

        Too much too fast

Anywhere from 18-24" in about a 8 hour period. At the house we got 14". It really was pretty **** impressive although lots of people were hurt and lives lots.

Yep I don't think that map is very accurate. All that area from midland to Angelo and north should be red. There is some surface ground moisture but ll lakes are almost dry and we are a bad month from being in severe drought again.

Unfortunately, I think it will take a hurricane type event to produce the amounts of rain that would get the lakes (Buchanan and Travis) back to where they used to be. I hope i am wrong.

I haven't been able to walk in my yard for about a month without sinking in the mud and I sure can't mow the grass that really needs it.

                    Too bad rain isn't transferable...............
If I couldnt work in my yard or mow my grass, I would be in heaven!!!!

I don't know if the Edwards Acquifer will ever recover to "normal" levels. Too many pulling off of it for it to recharge properly

Not gone, but Mother Nature is playing catch up. Twin Buttes in San Angelo can take a lot more water and OC Fischer is still pretty much dry. Guadalupe River is still not as high has I have seen it in wetter years.

Yup, EA is still below conversation levels. I smell a flood, kinda like the one in '07 coming this summer. Fingers crossed.
