    Business Loan advice

I need to pick the TBH brain for a minute and I would appreciate some advice.
I own a Landscaping/Irrigation company and I am looking to get a loan for around 18K for some new equipment/advertising.

    Here are my dilemmas:

-I've only been in business 1 year, thus disqualifying me for a lot of the SBA loans.

-I don't have any credit built yet, thus disqualifying me from lines of credit over $600-$700

I have several people with excellent credit who will co-sign with me, so that may be helpful.

I just opened 2 secured CC accounts and applied for another CC, so that I can build my credit quickly as well.

What other options, if any, do I have for funding?

    Thanks, Sam

    Forget SBA.

Do you have any trucks or trailers paid for or any equity in any vehicle?

Yes, 1 truck ('09 F-250) and 1 trailer. Both paid for.

Collateral for a personal loan. Depending on the trailer, but I think that should cover an 18K note?

apply for the loan and put your truck and trailer up for collateral. If you have a credit union near by I would try there first.

I own a small construction company so here are my thoughts. Cash is king. If I need to get equipment I will rent it or pay cash for it. I also try and find used equipment that I can upgrade what I have and then sell it when I have the money to buy the new stuff. I don't like to have payments. Raise your prices a few dollars to raise the cash to buy it.

As long as you have sufficient collateral (the equipment and your truck and trailer), decent personal credit, and like you mentioned strong Guarantors on the note with, you should be able to get it.
