    Hogs around Sam Rayburn?

My folks have a lake house around Letney park on Rayburn and I was wondering if anyone knew of any hogs in the area that I could hunt on public land?

Moore Plantation WMA in Sabine National Forest or Bannister WMA in Angelina National Forest.

The Angelina NF is right there. Haven't been over there in a few years but, I'd talk a look in there. Might be worth a shot. (Pun intended)

Talk with Russ79. He lives on the north side of the lake and has a few leases in the area. Great guy and can point you in the right direction.

Go down around Harvey Creek and shoot them in ANF...make sure it's ANF. Disregard any deer sign, there aren't many in the area.

If they live in Letney Park they are surrounded by Natl Forest...get after it, shoot straight and take pics.

I live just South of Letney Road on CR 062. We have a few hogs from time to time but nothing consistent. I saw 1 hog prior to Hurricane Rita and they moved in after the storm. They seem to migrate more toward the river but we see a little sign every now and then.

                    Best of luck.
