Make sure the vent line on the tank isn't clogged, if it's not venting fast enough and drawing a lot of gas at high speed it could be starving for gas and then after it sits it slowly finds air somewhere to seep back into the tank!?? I've seen a tank off a ranger litterly look like a smashed can because mud in the breather line!
my buddies Kubota RV does that. have to keep the vent cleaned and open or it sputters.
