    How do you define "Bohemian?"

Since moving to this part of Texas, I discovered a lot of folks 'round here pride themselves on being "Bohemains" (even though when asked, many don't even know exactly what that means).

Just curious what the GS thinks a "Bohemain" is, and if you call yourself a "Bohemain," what do YOU think it means?

I'm not sure, but I do like their Rhapsody

I always understood it to be the remnants of an old Kingdom/region around the eastern 1/3 of Germany and all of Czechoslovakia, and the southern portion of Poland and northern edge of Austria

Aren't "Bohemains" people from the Bahamas?

Bohemian can mean people from Bohemia (Czech) or it can mean something like someone who thinks pretty much like a hippie.

This term is incorrectly said to refer to a person who leads their life without regard to conventional standards of behaviour because that is how Gypsies lived and it was believed that Gypsies originally hailed from Bohemia, part of what is modern-day Czech Republic. Gypsies actually emigrated from northern Indian so it should also be noted that the term "Gypsy" which is derived from "Egyptian" is also incorrect although it is more widely accepted. The most etymologically correct term would be "Romani" or "Romany" which is the Gypsies original word for themselves.
