        I always thought it was funny that nearly everyone I talked to had no idea they needed an inspection on their trailer. I've always had mine, but I bet more than half the trailers on the road are out of compliance.

                  I never knew until recently that travel trailers and boats trailers and such had to be inspected. I know DOT trailers had to be. I think this is a huge money grab.

                    I knew this was coming it was just a matter of time before they started really enforcing it.

                    I have 12 or 13 trailers thank goodness only 3-4 will fall under this regulation. The rest are Farm use and 2 are under 4500ib.

                    What a pain in the arse!!

                        Yea theirs a ton of standard ole bumper pulls out their that wont pass because of brakes.

                            Yep, we've argued that law on here in the past. Been around a long time but very few knew about it or bothered to follow it. Now everyone will have to have it if combined weight of trailer and cargo exceeds 4500#.
                            Any trailer with dual 3500# axels is required. Along with many other travel trailers, utility trailers and boat trailers...
