I want ot say that is about what I was quoted when mine was replaced. They covered mine under the 100,000 mile waranty.

So they did cover it under the 100,000 mile warranty? I hope they will do mine the same way only have 86,000 on mine. Thanks for the info.. I would do it myself but they said something about torqueing the yoke bolt to 475 ft.lbs. I would need a 6 ft. cheater and 4 guys to get that!

it does take a cheater, I put a jack under the pipe in the past to break it loose and then tied a chain to the yoke and then the frame and hit it with the pipe, popped right off. That was in a emergency in a motel parking lot with a f550 that was using about a quart an hour! in the shop I use a big impact and have a puller.

Is this the place you guys are talking about? Mine has been leaking for a while but it doesn't leak bad at all.

I took it in back in Jan and they said they fixed a leak but didn't get this one.

If you take it to the dealer maker sure they get the pinion nut tight. They left mine loose and it sounded like the rear end had ball bearings rolling around in it. I asked them to tear the rear end down to check for damage and they assured me there was no need. Well guess what? Two months later pinion bearing went out, of coures they said the pinion gear and the rear gear were damaged also. I wonder what could have caused that. 1700.00 out of my pocket to fix. Those sorry bast#$@%s.
