    Dirt

My brother recently made some real long ruts on a property in the neighborhood, probably 100 yards long. I am going to have to get a "load" of dirt to help fill them in. I spoke to the property owner, very briefly, on the phone and said I would get this done.

I did not think at the time of how much a "load" of dirt is, or what it costs.

This is in the Orange, Texas area, Southeast, Texas.

Anyone have an idea of how many yards of dirt it is and the average costs.

    Thanks.

I have a little experience in this particular area as both you, and your brother, and the property owner.

Most of the dirt is still there, normally it needs more smoothing than dirt, and some sod over top to pretty it up. A skid steer guy can handle this kind of thing. Look for a new subdivision where they are setting up pads and find a guy on a skid steer.

Last dirt I bought was pretty cheap. Like 5-10$ a yard. Shouldn't take more than about 5 yards to do what you need to do

There is a free fill dirt site where people post needs and haves. It's all over Texas and could be found with a quick google search.

Why do you have to fix your brother's momentary lapse of reason??

Lol. But seriously, like Dale said, most of the dirt is still there. Just smooth it out.

Unfortunately, he has some serious disabilities.......and will eventually have to pay me back. But I will get it done in the short term.
