Could Use Some Austin Driving Directions Help

Headed to Austin on Thursday afternoon to around the 35/71 area (more specifically 113 Industrial Blvd, Austin, TX). Coming up from San Antonio. Just head up 35 (I'll be leaving San Antonio around 1:00 in the afternoon) to 71, or, is there an alternate route y'all might recommend?

130 is a quick trip.

not really. 35 should be ok at that time. Not much of a way around that one.

That time of day I'd just stick to 35. Toll road won't do you any good as it loops around the east side from Buda and where you're going is only a couple miles beyond the toll road exit.

I would think that way would be the fastest.

There's also 281/165/290, but that's normally only good for SW Austin to NW SA.

Taking 130 (if you're on the right side of SA for it, and can get to Seguin quickly) is always a safe bet for a smooth 85mph drive.

35 is always a complete crap shoot. Even if it's 1pm you might get caught in random madness.

I-35 to 71 (Ben White Blvd.) go left on 71 and take a left on Congress Ave. and then a left on Industrial.

Easy drive from SA.

I'm in the 1604/281 area on the north side of San Antonio.

Looks like I'll gamble on 35 from the replies.

There's no good "time of day" rule for 35.
It can be stacked any time of day, any day of the week.
Have you ever used Waze? It's good... real good.

Ben White Hiway 71 is so far south in Austin you will be easier on 35 as much as i dislike that dang road

Yep, 35 to 71 to S Congress to Industrial is how I'd do it. Three left turns.
