    Any Texas Army?

Any Texas Army on here? Ran into a few guys at The Sam Houston Birthday and Texas Independence Day Plaque unveiling at Nac City Hall today. The guys were nice enough to invite me to join up. Looks like fun, but what kind of an investment am I putting up front trying to get into reenactments?

I tend to avoid all things involved with "plague unveilings"

I thought my throat was a bit itchy....not to mention the incessant bleeding from my nose.

One of the guys I work with is into civil war reenactment along with his wife and two teenage kids. From what I understand, it is a lifestyle for them and they basically spend all they can on outfits, equipment, and travel.

Yes the Ceremonial Texas Army of 1836

The Texas Army is the official 1836 ceremonial and reenactment group for the State of Texas. The army is dedicated to the purposes of perpetuating the memory of those early Texas patriots who worked and fought as the first army of the Republic of Texas.
