I have the same problem here... at least they don't eat as much as coons. just remember if it was dove season don't go bragging and posting pics of limits of dove related to this subject. It's illegal to hunt dove over baited ground.

I'll see your doves and raise you some black birds.

          1. You can feed deer blocks, protein/corn mix and/or alfalfa.
          2. Set your feeder timer to feed multiple times in the evening and morning.
          3. Set up another feeder 40yrds away and feed milo maze(and pea gravel).
          4. See picture.

Black birds are an easy fix. Feed a sack of milo and sneak in within shotgun range. Take the plug out and hit'em with five rounds of #9 shot on full-auto. Remove the dead ones. The hawks, bobcats, coons, and foxes will take care of the walking wounded and this keeps them from coming back.

They're migrating back through. I can't keep them off my turkey bait.

Full auto shotgun? That sounds like painful fun!

Im feeding protein about 100 yards away, but I really like your idea about setting up another feeder with milo. I could turn that feeder in the picture off for a couple of weeks and get the milo one going. Would the dove stay on the milo and off the corn and peas when the have a choice?
