Lock for Gate

Could you guys recommend a good lock for a gate? I'll just have a heavy chain, but not sure what lock to get. Thanks

Doesn't really matter. If they want in they will just cut the chain.

I've had no issues with Master Lock. It is one of their more expensive models. If someone really wants in a good set of bolt cutters will do the trick, but by then my trail cam would have sent me an email!

I drilled out a "good" Masterlock last week in about 15 seconds with a cordless drill. Someone put it on a job box as a prank. Bit went in like butter on the key slot and the lock just fell apart.

I would just get one of the master locks at lowes/homedepot with the the boron hasp. Its hard to cut those with bolt cutters. Its about the best you can do.

The round Buffalo type locks people us in storage facilities are good too. Can't cut the lock, but you can always cut the chain....
