    Starting a fire

We wanted a fire tonight, but we're out of newspaper, so I whipped out an old trick of mine. As I was telling my wife what I was going to do, she said there was no way it was going to work. Well, the feeling of victory has come upon me!

A rolled up little ball of duct tape works well too.

I like!!! I usually cut a beer can in half and gasoline.

Lighter fluid. I didn't go elk hunting without a small can in my supplies for even wet wood.

I cut the lid off a beer can and pour a 1/2" of gasoline in it or so then just light off the vapor space if I'm OUTSIDE and need to dry out some wood to get a fire lit off. This looks like a safer idea

if you can't start a fire with gas and a match...well, for me it works everytime.

x2 for dryer lint. 9volt battery and steel wool works good also.

That's how I do it. I use dryer lint also.
