San Antonio city council bowed to the special interest groups (AKA taxi companies) and put a very, very restrictive ordinance in place, effective next week. But, there has been so much push back from citizens that they've suspended enforcement and are re-looking the ordinance.

I don't use cabs very often except to go to the airport but this sounds like it's worth trying. Thanks.

Not the driver's car insurance I'm sure if he's paying for personal use on his car and he's operating a (1099) business as an Uber driver.

If you are riding, uber's insurance covers you.

Uhh some can be shady, had a driver pull a 686 out from under his seat when we asked him if hes ever had any hairy situations. Cool guy but something about a stranger waving a hand cannon around in the car while doing 80 on the freeway made me feel a bit uneasy.
