Ban on ammo for AR15

Bottom line- as far as banning it as "Cop Killer" ammo, according to the FBI statistics, in the 10 years from 2004 to 2013, ONE law enforcement officer was killed with a 5.56 round while wearing body armor, and that was in 2004- and it does not say if it was green tip or not. That's ONE out of 308 law enforcement officers killed while wearing body armor.

Question. Was he body shot or was it a head shot? I ask only to educate myself because I don't know the limits of average body armor. I know it has it's limits and I thought that the .223 round would be within the limits.
