Just received an email that stated that the Freedom Group had bought Marlin Firearms and they are shutting the doors. The Freedom Group is one of George Sorros organiztions.. Has anyone heard or know if this is true. The email I have says that it was verified by Truth or Fiction.

The Freedom Group bought and operates Marlin, Remington, Bushmaster, DPMS, Barnes Bullets and others. I don't know anything about them shutting down Marlin or any other product line / subsidiary. It is owned by a private equity firm, Cerberus. If Soros has anything to do with it he might have money invested with Cerberus but he certainly does not own the company.Comment
