So my neighbor asked me this morning what it takes to transfer a rifle back to texas does anyone know? Is it the same process as FFL transfers? Thanks GS.

He has to have the rifle imported. Here is a company that will do it. The rifle has to be engraved with the importers information when it comes into the US so it might not be something that he wants to do.

passing thru customs will be your biggest hurdle
I've had rifle parts clear customs in 1 week, 6 months, and some parts got mysteriously lost
you may need an export permit as the Canadian Firearms Registry and Customs can be finicky about what type of firearm is being exported
