How to find a Doctor?

Haven't had a GP since I moved to Dallas or been to one in about 2 years. Need to get some asthma stuff refilled and need to go find a new Dr. Other than a google search, any good sites that have reviews or good Dr info on?

Anthem's page says that there are no docs in a 50mi radius accepting new patients which I find very hard to believe. I'm close to downtown if it helps

I usually start with my insurance company, remove Indian and Chinese names then try to find females who graduated college after me. Then try to look up what they look like and choose the best looking. Very unscientific I know but I get, young and pretty checking the boys and when I'm older a small finger for the prostate check. GPs are usually just glorified prescription writers anyway.

Dont give up on the ones that say aren't taking new patients, call and ask. The web may not have been updated recently.

Look at who takes your insurance. I would check to see if board certified. Ask people you know who they use and if they like/trust them. Won't worj for you but I tell people to call labor and delivery at the local hospital. Ask the nurses who they would use. Nurses won't lie and won't sugar coat things.

I've been looking at zocdoc and the nice thing is they let you filter down to in network providers only
