    Aussie needs a home

In corpus christi, a friend of mine had two australian shepards brought to their shelter. The dad dog and his son. Someone has taken the dad, but right now no one has claimed the son. If no one takes him, he is scheduled to be put down by Friday. They just dont have room at the shelter.
His name is Chipper. He is one year old. They said he needs socialization. He is not neutered. They said there is a chance he has a flea allergy.
Is anyone out there interested this fella? Its just not right for a youngster to be sitting on death row.
I have a pic, i'll try and post. They sent it to my phone. Gotta figure out how to put on the thread.

What do you mean by "socialization"? Is he aggressive to other dogs, kids, etc? Food aggression? Inside, outside?

                      jeepntx,

here is what they said what "socialization" means: they said he is very skiddish and scared (im guessing because hes in a cage and they just took his daddy away). most aussies are little skiddish with new people at first anyway (i have two, one we adopted). they also said, he could be an inside dog with a little TLC and could use a good backyard.
i'll try and find out more asap.

also just found out, he loves the guy thats taking care of him and feeding him. hes little shy with the others. i adopted a female aussie about 8 years ago and she was that way at first too. but after she found out we were not going to hurt her and we were feeding her, she became like velcro. was with us all the time. now she sleeps with us and is patiently waiting for us when we get home. super smart. have taught her tons of tricks. very loyal dog. she still has some "scared" tendencies, like when we bring a broom out to sweep at the house, but i dont know how she was treated before we got her. we just had to be patient with her as she was with us.
hope someone is interested in this little guy. i can get you a contact number if anyone is interested.
