Any food plot experts

Any food plot experts on here that can give some advice?

I want to put food plots on my southeast Oklahoma lease. Wanting to start with a spring plot and looking for advice. I do not have a lot of equipment, limited to a Ranger and a small two-way disk.

I plan a trip in the next couple of weeks to identify where I want the plots and to take soil samples. I then plan to go back and spray week killer.


Beyond that, I don’t have a plan and am looking for advice. What to plant in spring that will compliment a fall plot? Would like to get a fall plot in the ground by late August if that makes sense.

If you haven't already...check out the game mgmt forum. There are more good food plot threads over there than you can read in several days.
