    Which feeder lite ?

Which feeder lite that has motion senser and starts out dim and slowly brightens so as not to spook the pigs. Feeder is far enough away I can't hear pigs unless they squabble. I believe its solar charged.

I believe your talking about the Slow Glow light. In my opinion the Slow Glow light is not a feeder light because it is not designed to run all night every night the way they sell it. For $140.00 it does not come with a battery or solar panel and because it's motion activated it has to be set up within 7 yards of the pigs to make it work as designed. I've done so much testing on feeder lights that I can tell you without a doubt that a feeder light that is mounted close the bait is not near as effective as one that is mounted 20+ yards away. The reason is a lot of pigs or most animals just don't like getting that close to the light source so the further you can mount a light away from the feeder the more apt the pigs are to come right in and not shy away. Sure some pigs will come in right next to a light but not all pigs and why spend the money for a feeder light and not do it right the first time. By the time you buy the right battery, solar panel and solar charge controller for the Slow Glow light you will spend over $250.00 and you will still only have a light that will scare some hogs away. Now if you plan on only using it when you hunt you would be better off with a good gun light or bow light.

I have gun lites, and if I point it off target to turn on and then bring lite on target they don't usually spook unless they've been spotted recently. I wanted a light that only came on when there was movement and started dim. With a good scope I wouldn't need much lite.

What I use. Works like a champ. Two 60 LED motion lights from harbor freight mounted on a 2x6 in an upside down T. Have 5 of them ratchet strapped on feeders and this on mounted with two U bolts. There was a thread not long ago about them. Made this one with orange film. Have others with red and green. The orange is all I had that day and I thought I'd give it a try.

The 60 led light from Harbor Freight is the best for the money. Northern Tool sells the same light under a different brand name.

I know this is an old post. But I did a search , as I have been looking at these lights. I know you offer a really nice feeder set up, but I need something a lot more " portable". You posted on another post I did about using a weapon mounted light. Which I have on order with you. But still feel like one of these would condition the pigs to the light, so when I show up with your light on my bow they may not spook so readily. Plus we only get to hunt these for seven days out of the year. We make an annual trip down there, and by the time we get to figuring the pigs out its time to leave. So I thought I could have a couple of these type lights with cameras set up on them also. And pattern them. And it might give me a " jump start " so to say. What would you recommend ?
