The GS has changed my life

I moved to Austin 12 years ago from North Carolina. I grew up in a small town in Florida and joined the military right out of hs. Austin was the first big city I'd lived in and at first I loved it. Over time it's grown and the people have changed and not for the better. When I first got here people would hug you good bye only after meeting you a few times. Now your lucky to even get a response from someone. Driving in this town alone wants to make me put razor blades in my eyes now. I had basically given up on people and deemed everyone a jerk......then I found this forum.

A friend of mine told me about this place and I've been hooked since day one. You folks are a lot like the people I was raised with. This forum reminds me of home and the good ol boys I grew up with. The true caring for one another which I thought was lost forever by humanity I found here. This forum has given me a new outlook on life. A new fire has been set and things are looking up. Everyday I'm amazed what's done and said on this site. Baby Weston is one example of that. Truly amazing what happened with that little guy. And that's just one example of many.

So....to all the texas bow hunter brothers and sisters.....thank you for having me. You all are truly a god send to my life when I needed it the most. My wife has even noticed a change in my attitude since finding you guys.

That's a cool story. It is turning into a new world out there but , one thing seems to remain true to it's roots, history, and a lot of other things this sight has to offer....... It's people.
