Was fortunate to get an invite for an Axis hunt at The General uncles ranch near rocksprings. The Texan and I are after bucks. Got in late last night and could not sleep with the excitement! The General put me under some oaks looking over a feeder at 100 yards. The feeder spun at 7:45 and had a few whitetail under it. Was looking at them through the bino's and all of the sudden this guy came in sight. Took my time and got the rifle set up with the bipod. Took a deep breath and made a beautiful shot with the .270 weatherby mag. He ran 30 yards and dropped dead. I thank God for this awesome opportunity and The General and his uncle for having is on this trip.
