To each his own, but curious about what you don't like about "Hipster Craft Beers." Many are small local businesses that need the community's support and in turn, support their communities. Plus many make awesome beer of all styles, including lite pilsners and bocks.
Awesome beer is a matter of opinion of course. I just don't care for all the souped up flavored crap, fancy crafts and hipster beer snobs. I'd prefer to save the connisseurin' for the wine snobs.
Coors is a regular but Yengling is what I buy most of the time. Bud light is an alternative as well.
Wish we could get some yengling here. Dang good east coast brew! Heck we cant get half the good beers from the west coast because of the tabc laws preventing craft breweries from importing to us. Texas beers are okay, but the experience just isnt here yet.

Have you been to any of the local tours? I can't speak for other parts of Texas, but Houston's breweries are really good and have some cool "hangout" type tours.
