After searching the web and the GS for a place to take my son on his first bow hunt, I decided on the Lee Ranch in Hondo, Tx. We were met by the Ranch Guide, Carlos, and we knew right off the bat this was going to be a great weekend. After taking care of the paperwork and unpacking, we shot our bows and looked around the ranch.

One of our setups which proved to be a busy one. I saw Fallow Deer, Whitetail Deer, Coyotes and a passing Axis.

That morning yielded no harvests, but nonetheless, a fantastic time. That afternoon, with the help of Carlos, we moved a couple of stands to see some new areas. It was worth it. I wound up harvesting a Texas Dall Sheep that I am very proud of. 15 yard shot with my Hoyt Charger, bloodline arrows and rage broad heads.

The trip was a great one and we will surely go back, we are already looking at dates for the next one. Carlos is top notch and will do whatever he can to ensure you have a great time. The last night there we all gathered around the fire and told stories, laughed and just had fun.
