    A Texas Soap Box moment

So I feel I need to pull out the soap box and step up and address something that has been bothering me.

There is a restaurant in North Dallas, off of Jupiter and Gorge Bush Tollway. It seems to be busy, and it bothers me.

The place is called "Texas", the restaurant before it was a french place and had a french flag displayed on the sign out front. Well once they changed the name, they just stuck a star on the french flag and called it good.

I'm sorry but I will never eat at a place called Texas, that doesn't know won't display the correct flag. It just blows my mind.

Okay, I'm getting down from my soap box now.

    here is picture.

I have noticed this place. Always wondered why that flag was that way.

Now that I research it, Texas was never under the other flag either. So neither flag is right. Just take the flags down, instead of insulting Texas.

          First Lone Star Texas Flag

"The first Lone Star Flag of Texas Texas created by Sarah Dodson for her husband Archelaus, a member of the Texas Volunteers. Archelaus's company marched under the Dodson Flag to San Antonio, and they fought under this flag during the siege of San Antonio and the Texan's capture of the Alamo. "

The flag w/ the Lone Star is the Dodson Flag. The other flag appears to be the Lone Star Texas Statehood flag.

Should be upset about the other flag, Texas never was a part of the 13 star version. They were part of the Confederacy.

                  That's Dodson's Tri-color from 1835

They are also flying Betsy Ross flag.

That calms me some, but still they were lazy.

The only thing that matters here is, do they or do they not put beans in their chili.

1st flag of both Countries, Texas and the United States.

The US TX Flag would have 28 stars.
