I have a fairly large cedar I'm going to cut down to use in our new house. It's probably 45-50' tall or so and about 16-18' straight at the bottom. It's 26" in diameter. I know we want to use it for the mantle for the fireplace and have round stock cut out as well for the stair rails. But what else could we get out of this? Thinking slabs or possibly tongue and groove? What yall think? Here's the pic of the tree.
