My quail gun will hold 10. My pig/coyote/p-dog/varmits in general can hold 100. Migratory birds must be hunted with 3 or less, except late season snow geese.

I have never worried about this because I only have a single shot. But I borrowed a pump from a buddy for the upcoming dove hunt. I think it will hold 3 plus one in the chamber.

2 in the magazine and 1 in the chamber.....3 TOTAL.....for migratory birds....
double check the mag...if it holds three you need a longer plug.

ON EDIT: 6.5 Creedmor. Tuff, what can you tell me about this round?

from my l"ive", but not really live hunt thread....
I'd have no problem taking a doe with this rifle. I'm not sure I'd personally go after a buck with it, but when my boys are older, I plan on letting them shoot deer with it, under a closely supervised environment, where I know shots will be taken under a certain distance.

If I were at my lease, where the chance for a 300 yard or greater shot existed, and the chance for a buck that could come out 20 yards or 400 yards was there, I wouldn't take a shot with the AR...
