    ? For Lumenok Users

I Went To My Local Archery Shop To Buy Some Lumenoks And Was Told That If I Start Using Them In My Arrows I Would Have To Shoot A 125 Grain Broadhead To Compensate For The Weight Of The Lumenok. Has Anybody Heard Of This Or Have An Experience With This?

I call BS on this one. Been shooting them for over a year and still shoot the same ole 100 gr. heads.

I shoot a 27" Axis 500 arrow w/ 85gr BH at 285fps and use the Lumenok...no problems here. As for problems...I shot at 60yds on Sun. Three arrows with BH in 3" at 60yds sounds like a good problem to have.

Sounds to me like you need to find a new shop ... one that knows what they're talking about!

Id say BS. Never shot the Lumenock, but shoot the Firenock. I shot them on a 29" ICS Hunter with a 100 gr. tip for a total of 443 gr. at 298 fps. There is litttle difference with or without the firenock.

Save yourself some dough and make your own............I think they're better, homemade. They definitely are brighter and burn longer.

Search the threads and you'll find plenty of information on how to do it.

I'm not nearly as mad when some oinker runs off with my gear.

As far as the weight.......not a whiff of difference not matter which you shoot. I shoot 100 gr with and w/o and it's all the same.

Well On The Same Visit My Buddy Buys Some Arrows And The Lady That Works There Brought Him The Inserts For Them. He Mumbled That They Were Too Small And Put Larger Inserts In. As We Were Driving Down The Road My Buddy Is Looking At His Arrows And All Of The Shafts Are Cracked At The Insert From Him Stuffing Too Large Of An Insert In.

I have "had" 9 of them in my Axis arrows over two years....none of them work anymore. Actually 4 out of 5 NEVER worked.
They SUCK so don't waste your money and get someTracers! They worked flawlessly in Africa.

Total BS. I have been shooting them with 85 gr. BH's for years and it has never affected the flight of my arrow.........I would find another shop that has a little more knowledge before going back to that place....

As Landroer said they are not worth the money they charge for them. I make my own now, but thinking about trying the Tracers........

I just ordered Tracers and Luminocks for my shop. I have never used the Luminocks and am told the Tracers are better. I don't know which is best, but I do know that the tracers WORK!!!
