I have owned a few Rangers and have friends that own the Hondas and Yamahas. It really all depends on what the machine is going to be used for. There are a lot of discussions on this topic in the archives. Just do your homework and buy the machine that will best fit your needs. Good luck!

I looked a large ranch this week that is very rugged. All of the roads appear to be either 4wheel drive or UTV/ATV only. The rocks were brutal. We rode around in a Polaris Ranger 800cc crew. It was set up with the raised seat in the back, gun racks, etc. It made the ride very nice. I was impressed with the ride. I left the ranch impressed by the machine except for one thing. If I was going to go buy one, I would be looking for higher ground clearance. I don't know what the clearances are on the new models but that would be very important to me. If nothing else, I would look at putting larger tires to gain some room.

Ok, I'm an electric guy....BUT....our place we got on last year is VVEERRYY rough and hilly. Even tho my cart still does fine and I prefer it over a gasser 80% of the time I am considering getting a gas ride. Two reasons, I think the rough terrain and long elevated drives will dramatically shorten my cart. The other is that with my expanded family, 5 now, I am running out of room. My two older girls are getting so big that the 3 of us can't sit comfortably in it anymore. I will have to either build me a high for my cart or get a gasser with a second seat or a high rack.
My reason for going electric is stealth. I like sneaking around on the roads and I really hate engine noise. I really hate engine noise at the lease. Almost to the point where I would like to ban all atv/utv from the lease.
With that said which of the gas rides in the quietest?? Or is the lesser of two evils? I want a utv that sounds like car, little to no engine sound. I have a lease truck but I like riding open air especially when hunting. I enjoy the ride better and see more.
I have thought about a Sami but they are all standard and I am a little too big to fit comfy in them.
What are your thoughts?
