Bible review.. sort of

ok so Im not reviewing The Bible, but rather a style or version. I picked up a waterproof Bible a few months back and absolutely love it. Its just what it says it is, pages are heavier, and the whole thing is waterproof. I like things that are indestructible feeling or atleast are as close to that as possible. This fits the bill perfectly. Well its a little different in dimensions than a standard Bible, so Ive had a hard time finding a cover for it. But I don't want to get a generic one, so I went on the website that made my Bible and they have believe it or not, a waterproof leather feeling jacket specifically for it. So I emailed them and told them how I felt about the Bible and how having it has made me more apt to read, and have it with me when I may not have had it otherwise. They sent me one of these jackets free of charge and asked only that I review it to my friends and they left it with a God Bless. And FYI, I got one of the owners of the company Bardin-Marsee publishing when I sent the email. So my review is 10 of 10 on quality of the Bible they have, the jacket is extremely well made and fits like a glove, and customer service is top notch. I personally have the NIV version, but they make 4 or 5 others. Very cool, and they've got a camo one as well. Check em out if you get the chance.

Yeah the only problem I've had was finding a highlighter that works with them. Dry Bible highlighters. Those are the ticket.

I have the same bible and love it as well. It was given to me as a gift and I thought it was neat, but questioned if I would ever need it to be waterproof. Ironically enough, it was on the floor when the house flooded several years ago and I was thankful for it to be perfectly fine. I now keep it in my hunting bag and take it do the deer stand with me.

What a story! Yeah, these handbound Bibles are built tough! I also saw that they recently started carrying a premium leather Bible line from most of the premium publishers.
