    Need advice on foodplot equipment

We're looking at putting in a couple of food plots on our place and am not sure where to start. I've read some great conversations already about how many acres to plant, doing soil tests, and when to plant. Bottom line is I don't really want to sink a lot of money into the equipment until I know for sure this is what I want to do long term. The questions for me at this point:

    1. Is it possible to rent ATV/garden tractor cultipackers, discs, etc.?
I did internet searches in my area and couldn't find anything. I might be looking for the wrong thing or more likely is this doesn't exist.

    2. Is it possible to hire someone to do this type of work?
Same as above, I did internet searches with no results.

    Thanks for any guidance.

You might check with some farm supply stores or feed stores about tractor rental. Post up on here where you need the work & someone on here might be in your area & willing to do it.

I have rented a tractor before from an equipment rental place like Hertz. I don't know about attachments because at the time I just needed a tractor with a bucket. You can check the feed stores in the area where you need the work done to see if there is anyone around that can do it for you for a fee. I have actually helped do some food plot work for some guys thru the green screen that posted up looking for someone to do this for them.

I'm sure you could hire someone with the equipment to come plant for you.
