Turn night feeder pigs to daytime feeding pigs

Has anyone ever been successful at turning the pigs from eating at night on a corn feeder to day time feeders?
Pigs keep coming to the feeder 1 to 2 hours after sun set and are skidding with the green hog light on.

I think I read once on this forum that your best bet is to feed at/after sunrise, only feed once a day and feed a small enough amount that the pigs will try and beat each other to the bait before it's all gone. Never have had the chance to test this theory though.

Thanks, I thought that but wasn't sure. I'll reset the feeders this weekend and test next weekend. May take more time than that but I'll stick with it and let you know.

Yes, hunt them all night long and not during the day, they'll adjust.

I have. Not by choice but because of my career. You just simply have to stay out of the area. I'm out of my spot for two months at a time. Pretty soon after my last visit the camera shows pigs in there on and off for 24 hrs a day. They just feel comfortable and safe with no human activity.

Trying to let my 10 year old get a pig. Too difficult for him right now from an 18' ladder stand and a 20 yard shot with his bow. Would be so much easier for him in the daylight.

Hunt a couple of nights around the Full moon if u can. Hogs are predomInantly nocturnal and move areas quick depending on water and food. Have noticed that the light doesn't seem to bother them as much @ my lease.

I've been dealing with this for years. First of all morning bow hunts never work cause they are usually already there bedded near the feeder waiting so they hear you and leave....unless your gun hunting and far away.

So I set my feeder for evenings. Once a half hour before dark and once a half hour after. They will pattern to the dark feeding first but soon figure out they can get food earlier and show up during light for the first feeding.

When you I hunt I show up an hour before feed time and sit for two or two and a half hours. It works well. Try to hunt when it's cooler then normal or after a good rain. They move earlier on those days usually.

When it gets hot out it's more about the temp then the time. 70degrees is a magic number. They usually show up when the temp gets in the seventies. The warmer it gets the closer to heavy cover or water you need to be. That's how I do it here in the hill country

One more thing they love to bed up on hills. They sit facing down hill so they can see anything coming from below and wind anything from above. I like to set up at the edges of plateaus. They usually come from below me

This. I have successfully gotten several groups at our place to become creatures of the day by simply staying out as much as possible. Most of the time you can see the slow progression over time as they slowly start showing up earlier and earlier until they finally show up about an hour before dark. Then they get shot at and process starts all over again.

Slightly off subject but there was a group of hogs that would hit 2 feeders on our property at around 2:15 in the afternoon, but only on weekdays. We finally figured out that they would show up before my little brothers could get out of school and get in the stands, those hogs had them boys patterned perfectly. Well lets just say I came home from college a little early one day and that didn't fit into their plan too well.

X2 on staying out of the area, and btw morning hunts do work. I've shot a trailer load of pigs in the morning with a bow. I guess it just depends on where your hunting. If I stay out of that area for 6 weeks. They are coming morning and evening, several different groups. I usually get 1 or 2 out of each group and then like others said it starts over again

All great advice! Thanks. I have cameras set up and have never had them come in the morning time. I will reset the feeders to before and after sundown.
Also for clarification, I am right next to the red river and have streams literally 20' from the feeder, so water and cover are not an issue.
