One thing I can't stand about private EMS is when the best/fastest care for the patient is put in jeopardy due to mutual aid and what not. CF is not innocent in that either. Primarily on the air side though from what I see. I work in private ems, and I'd like to think my company doesn't do this but I see it from time to time.

It does sound like some corp EMS propaganda when in reality they probably just havent run the business properly. EMS is tough to make a dime in unless you are a huge provider like Acadian, Rural Metro, AMR etc. Hopefully CF will pick up everyone and there wont be a single hiccup for the community, which at the end of the day is the most important thing!
