Keystone River Run Tips for spring Break

O.k. folks thanks for everyones input as to where to take my family for a ski vacation. I need the insider tips now. How to save money on ski lifts and gear. We chose Dillon Colorado in Keystone Resorts on Keystone mountain. Outlets in Silverthorn and Close to Breckenridge,Vail. My wife should have plenty of shopping near by and hopefully kids have plenty of snow to play in. If anyone has been there, I need the does and dont's please. Thanks for any info you can provide. Also I can scout for a future Summit Valley Public land Elk Hunt!!!

Check out Liftopia for lift tickets. For rental gear I would check around, as all are going to be pretty comparable in price. Christy Sports is one of the larger ones that rents.

Keystone has night skiing, so definitely do that. It's a blast. I would also check about getting a pass that's good for Keystone, A-Basin, and possibly Breck. A-Basin is more technical and less frills, Breck gets really windy, but Keystone was hands down my favorite. When I lived in Denver I always had a season pass for there.

If you get a rental car, drive to Idaho Springs and eat at Beau Jo's. Great pizza and atmopshere.

As for elk hunting in Summit Valley, send me a PM and I can get you started in the right direction. Lots of beetle kill previously in that area = blowdowns. However, there are some good spots. Won't be able to see much this time of year though.
